POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant

PURPOSE: To provide administrative and clerical support for Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon's Russian Oregon Social Services.

ACCOUNTABILITY: To the Mission and Goals of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon (EMO) as determined by the Board of Directors and as administered by the Executive Director.

REPORTS TO: Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist program manager to review case files and provide an ongoing training to ROSS staff.

2. Coordinate preparation of reports and ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion

3. Maintain files for reports, correspondence and brochures.

4. Assist program manager with program development such as appeals, mailings, letters of inquiry and grant proposals.

5. Provide organization of office area.

6. Send out and follow up on media releases

7. Maintain inventory of office supplies and order supplies as approved.

8. Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to work within the mission, vision and ethics of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon.

2. Willingness and ability to work with people of diverse ethnicity, socio-economic circumstance, religion, culture and sexual orientation.

3. Able to type/word process with accuracy, using full keyboard skills at 60 wpm.

4. Must have extensive knowledge and prior experience Windows XP, MS Office 2000.

5. Skill/ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing).

6. Must possess valid Oregon Driver's License and evidence of insurability.

7. High tolerance for ambiguity and change.

8. Experience and/or demonstrated ability to carry out the responsibilities identified.

9. High-level organization and prioritization skills and ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor.

10. Skills/abilities and/or education/experience necessary to perform the duties of the position.

SALARY: $13.00 per hour

HOURS: Part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week.
