Washington County Habtiat ReStore

Our ReStores raise funds to help Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes in the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan areas. And, we keep usable materials out of the waste stream and into home building, remodeling and creative arts projects.

Overview

* This is a paid part-time position in a retail environment requiring customer service skills, managing donations, maintaining a safe, clean and organized warehouse as well as driving our truck or assisting a volunteer driver with donation pickups as needed.
* The Habitat ReStore operates with approximately 60% volunteer staff which change regularly; applicant must be able to respectfully direct volunteers of all types and ability levels in daily ReStore operations.
* Applicant must have a clear understanding of the mission of Habitat and of the ReStore, and be able to communicate it to customers, volunteers and donors.

Basic Requirements

* Providing friendly, respectful service to customers and donors
* Guiding volunteers in the day to day operations of the ReStore
* Working with other staff as a team towards the goals of the ReStore
* Experience driving a 30 foot box truck
* Experience operating a forklift
* Able to lift 50 pounds
* Understand and communicate Habitat’s mission
* Have a clean driving record
