Call to Artists + Poets - "Arts as Vision"

Portland-based nonprofit Springboard Innovation is requesting visual art and poetry proposals for their "Art as Vision" Social Innovation Forum Art Exhibit. This community oriented art exhibit is open to all ages and skill levels.

What is your vision for the future? Create an artistic rendering of your hope for the future of Portland, the world, your neighborhood, etc....This could mean anything from a aerial painting of Portland roofs covered in solar panels and plants to a poem about a world without war.

The "Art as Vision" art exhibit runs January 14 - Feb 9 at Urban Grind East. If you are interested in participating, email katherine@springboardinnovation.org

Zenger Farm Education Volunteer Training

Zenger Farm Education volunteers are essential to our experiential education programs and service-learning projects. Zenger Farm field trips provide visitors with opportunities to learn about sustainable farming practices, healthy soils, botany, and wetland ecology.

At our two day volunteer training we will provide information on how to lead outdoor experiential education programs, discuss the fine art of behavior management and add depth and understanding to local flora and fauna and sustainable farming.

The two-day training is offered:

Wednesdays: February 11th and 18th, 9:30am-12:30pm -OR- Thursdays February 12th and 19th, 9:30am to 12:30pm
