Leadership Resources for Renewal
Balanced leaders listen to their truest self and lead from the deep
resources of their inner being to create opportunities for growth,
creativity, order, justice and prosperity. Staying balanced, however, is
difficult. The aim of this program is twofold: to provide leaders with tools
that can help them stay connected to their own deepest source of wisdom and
to create a listening space, or time away, in which leaders can share their
experience with other leaders in a mutually supportive setting.
When: July 26, August 23, September 27
Tues 7/26, Emergency Preparedness Mapping Open House

coming up next Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital's
Wistar Morris Room, 1015 NW 22nd Avenue from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Reduce the
community's long-term risks post-disaster by mapping local resources and
hazards now! Local residents, business owners and employees are invited. An
overview of the project will occur at the beginning of the event and half
way through - feel free to stop by throughout the event.

We have a bookshelf (approx. 3.5' x 6') that is black laminate and free to a good home. Email Haley at hcloyd@neighborhoodpartnerships.org if you're interested or for pictures. The side is a little banged up but would be easily covered up by putting it against a wall or another bookshelf.
You will need to arrange to move it yourself!

Shine up the tools in your toolbox, and prepare to use them in small-group
facilitation!
The power of the small group cannot be overemphasized. Something almost
mystical, certainly mysterious, occurs when citizens sit in a small group,
for they often become more authentic and personal with each other there than
in other settings. - Peter Block
In this workshop, you will build on the tools you already have and step up
your confidence to facilitate small-group discussions.
Getting your group to Decide! - Aug. 25th Workshop
Getting Your Group to Decide!
Come learn and practice tools for effective, inclusive decision making.
Do you want to participate in meetings where decisions are made in a timely
fashion, where all voices are included, and where participants can trust
that the decision was fair and workable?
With a bit of theory, a smattering of tools, and a dose of practice, we will
prepare you for this essential skill in any workplace or community group.
Participants will learn to help their groups:
