position summary:

The Portland Parks Foundation has added significant value to Portland over the last
eight years. With the Foundation’s help, youth programs reach more underserved
neighborhoods, new parks are developed and existing parks are enhanced. The
Foundation’s successful first Executive Director is ready to transition the role to the
newly hired ED to continue the organization’s mission. Fundraising is and will
always be the first priority of the organization.

The Executive Director’s major responsibilities:
Fundraising
Staff Management
Community Outreach
Partner Development (public and private)
Board and Donor Development
Organization/Communications Management

Salary / Pay Rate:80k-90k
Qualifications:We are looking for a broad spectrum of candidates to consider for this role. Ideally those candidates would have the following experience.  Executive Director/Development Director of a nonprofit or in a community relations role within a for-profit organization  Proven fundraising ability  Outreach and marketing savvy  Familiar and comfortable with the political process  Operations management in a lean organization  Communication skills to well represent the Foundation to the public  Diplomatic style, ability to relate to a variety of people who have differing opinions  Board development experience
Education Required:College degree
