position summary:

The Finance and Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the planning, management, administration and ongoing oversight of the organization’s business operations, including but not limited to fiscal, human resources, accounting, information systems, and facilities.

The Finance and Operations Manager is expected to fulfill a wide range of requests and responsibilities, ranging from rudimentary to highly complex. A diverse skill set and willingness to wear many hats is essential.

In addition to managing the daily operations of The Pangaea Project, the Finance and Operations Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Resource Development Officer to evaluate the organization’s current systems, processes and procedures, and then propose, design and implement improvements and/or new installations.

The Finance and Operations Manager plays a critical role on The Pangaea Project’s senior management team, which utilizes a consensus decision-making model, and s/he can therefore expect to be engaged on some level in organization-wide activities, including matters related to strategic planning, policy development, programs, and fundraising.

Salary / Pay Rate:$38,000-42,000
