As a board member, you play a vital role in your nonprofit's success. Increase your effectiveness as a board member and get the most out of your volunteer experience! In this training, we'll explore the most common challenges for nonprofit boards of directors and provide clear guidance on the board's role, as well as offer handy tools to develop efficient and effective board structures and processes. ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Carol Cheney, TACS Associate Consultant, is an experienced trainer and community organizer with eighteen years' experience working and volunteering for grassroots and mid-sized nonprofits and in state government. She has served as a board member for several nonprofits, and provided consultation to organizations on strategic planning, board development, volunteer management, community outreach, fundraising, grantwriting, and cultural competency. In all of her work, Carol is committed to leadership development, social change, and building truly collaborative relationships.
