Examining Equity in Portland Public Schools

Please join LWV Portland for a free panel discussion with educators from school districts in Portland as we address questions of equity in the schools.
Panelists include:
* Carole Smith, Portland Public Schools Superintendent
* Barbara Rommel, David Douglas School District Superintendent
* Karen Fischer Gray, Parkrose School District Superintendent
* Dan Ryan, Portland Schools Foundation
Panelists will discuss equity among schools, particularly in areas of staffing, Foundation grants, and access to services such as art, PE and music, as well as TAG and special education programs. They will also discuss parent and community involvement and ways they can make a difference.
