position summary:

Garden Partners enhances the health and well-being of elders and at-risk youth through year-round, community-based therapeutic gardening programs. We are looking for volunteers and interns to fill the following seasonal positions:

*Therapeutic Horticulture Program Intern:
In this position, you will work alongside a Program Specialist to provide garden-based therapeutic programming directly to our clients. Programming takes place indoors and outdoors. We ask for a minimum commitment of three months (1-4 hours per week).

*Garden Intern:
Spring and Summer, 2-8 hours per week. Help create and maintain gardens at our programming sites. If you love to garden and would like to gain professional experience, while putting your skills to use for a good cause, this position is for you. We are looking for creative folks who have a good amount of garden/farm based experience. Knowledge desired: urban farming, edible gardening, perennials, annuals, organic practices.

*Kitchen Gardens Intern:
Spring & Summer, 2-8 hours per week. This position works specifically with our edible, kitchen gardens. Help create and maintain the gardens at our individual sites. Portions of each garden space are dedicated to growing food for the hungry. Harvests will be donated to local poverty/hunger support organizations. We are looking for creative folks who have a good amount of garden/farm based experience. Knowledge desired: urban farming, edible gardening, perennials, annuals, organic practices.
