Oregon’s social service agencies and workers have experienced unprecedented blows in the last eight years. Agencies have downsized in staggering numbers, creating symptoms in professionals similar to post-traumatic conditions with livelihoods assaulted or threatened and professional identities and commitments shaken.

Many are haunted by unresolved organizational trauma: suspicion and distrust, feelings of worthlessness, identity crises, and survivor guilt. Explore the impact of these organizational dynamics on the work we do with clients.  Most importantly, increase understanding of how to retain and regain the motivation and vision that led us to do this work.
