Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation Portland seeks development and outreach volunteers

Volunteer Position with Nonprofit Available

Highly motivated individuals needed for development and outreach for annual nonprofit event. Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation Portland is an annual tasting event that raises money for local hunger-relief beneficiaries. We have raised over $1.2 million since 1988. This year's event takes place April 26, 2010 at Luxe Autohaus in Portland. The goal of the DC-based organization Share Our Strength is to end childhood hunger in the US by 2015. Visit us at www.portlandtaste.org and strength.org.  Opportunity for individuals to make a big impact on our event by developing sponsors and community contacts in order to raise funds and promote the event. The event is 100% volunteer-run and in need of some new energy and talents in the development efforts.
