MIKE Program empowers youth to be ambassadors of health in service to their diverse communities through mentorship, partnership, and the promotion of healthy kidneys.

Current Volunteer openings include Historian, Office Support, Creative Writers, Photographer, Scrapbookers, Leadership Roles as Procurement Manager, and a multitude of Committee Member Positions.

Why volunteer? 1. “Lend your hand and heart to empower youth to be ambassadors of health in service to their diverse communities through mentorship, partnership, and the promotion of healthy kidneys.” 2. Give back to your community through community service 3. Possibilities to earn school credits through internships or volunteer hours 4. Influence the educational program of MIKE Program and improve public health in low-income neighborhoods 5. Meet professionals in health, education, and public offices

Activities will vary depending on the length of commitment and role you wish to take within MIKE Program.

Qualifications sought: Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to apply. If you are unsure where your personal talents can best be put to use, just ask us and we will customize a role that fits your availability. Flexibility, creativity and organization are pluses. Some roles may require a willingness to work in new situations, or assume leadership positions.
