Job Posting: CASASTART Case Managers: 2.5 FTE

Neighborhood House is hiring two full-time and one half time case manager for our CASASTART program. New staff will be assigned to Rosa Parks Elementary or George Middle School. CASASTART provides intensive case management in the school setting for 8-13 year old youth and their families, who are at risk of drug/alcohol abuse, academic failure, school expulsion, involvement in gangs or the juvenile justice system. Candidates must have case management experience with similar at-risk youth and experience dealing with substance abuse, youth violence and school-based services. Successful candidates will understand the effects of poverty on youth and families, be effective at working cross-culturally and demonstrate ability to work with families whose first language is not English. Must be able to pass Neighborhood House and Portland Public School’s criminal background checks, have valid driver’s license, be insurable by the agency, have reliable transportation and proof of personal automobile insurance. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. One position will require fluent Spanish. Salary range is $13.95-$17.08/hour.
