*Theatre for Community & Transformation* Starting September 26, 2010!

 

Practice interactive theatre as a process for personal growth, community-building, and healing. In a supportive environment, we'll explore sound, movement, images, and stories to envision and enact change in our lives and communities. Techniques are based on the work of Augusto Boal, Brazilian author and founder of *Theatre of the Oppressed. *No experience necessary; shy people welcome!

About the Facilitator: Tamara Wallace has practiced Theater of the Oppressed since 2000, including training with Augusto Boal and other internationally recognized Theater of the Oppressed facilitators. Her work has included research and travel to Brazil's rural Central West to rehearse and perform with members of Brazil's Landless Workers' Movement, and theater facilitation for Teatro Popular Jornalero, a theater project of VOZ Day Laborer Education Project. Tamara is founder and co-director of TheaterChange* TeatroCambio, and is committed to supporting theater to promote individual, collective, and societal healing and transformation.
