It can be difficult and frustrating to find local social services, sometimes it’s hard to know where to start looking, or even what’s available. Portland Metro area residents now have an easy-to-remember three-digit phone number to call when searching for community services. Just dial 2-1-1 for information and referrals to health and human services for every day needs and in times of crisis.
2-1-1 can help you find:
• Food Resources
• Health Care
• Public Agencies
• Legal Services
• Employment Services
• Counseling/Support Groups
• Housing Information
Using a tele-interpreter service, information is available in over 170 different languages. Calls are anonymous and confidential and free.
2-1-1 is available in the Portland Metro Area, Greater SW Washington State and Central Oregon (Bend area)
