National Wildlife Refuge Wildfire Fuels Reduction Team – Southern Washington

The Mt. Adams Fuels Reduction team is composed of five members and two team leaders. Teams will focus on reducing forest fuels from National Wildlife Refuges in Southeastern Washington. This project is a partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service with the goal of protecting refuges from the dangers of wildfire. The team will operate out of the Mt. Adams Center in Trout Lake, and commute to the service site on a daily basis. They will focus primarily on removing small diameter trees and woody material with power and hand tools.
