Boys & Girls Aid is seeking a motivated, creative, and engaging Program Training Specialist to join our highly-skilled team of child welfare professionals to help prepare foster and adoptive families to meet the unique needs of children placed in their homes.

30 hours a week with benefits. Develop, coordinate, implement and present all trainings for potential and current foster parents and potential adoptive families. This position comes with the opportunity to work independently to design and update attachment-basedcurricula focused on child welfare, child development, family dynamics, special needs, applicable theories and interventions. The Program Training Specialist also ensures evaluation of trainings, including the creation, distribution, and analysis of results/outcomes of trainings offered. Delivering regular presentations to audiences inside and outside of the agency is an expectation of this position as well as maintaining and updating the training schedule for the agency.

We are a growing non-profit organization and we are looking for someone who is willing to grow with us. The ideal candidate for the Administrative Assistant position will be capable of wearing many hats, but at this point the primary function is to enter data, effectively assist our staff in their daily tasks, and support the organization by maintaining an efficient, effective, and pleasant office environment.

This is a part-time position that starts at $13 per hour and does not include benefits or come with sick leave or paid vacation. Base hours begin at 10 per week and will grow with demonstrated abilities and as funding becomes available. Starting hours are Mondays and Wednesdays 8am to 1pm. Miles driven while performing duties are reimbursable.

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate for the Administrative Assistant position will possess:
1. A minimum of two years of documented experience in a similar position: office assistant, coordinator, or manager
2. A minimum of one year of experience working or volunteering in a non-profit environment
3. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, sometimes in a stressful environment
4. Professional and appropriate interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
5. An exceptional eye for design and detail, an excellent memory, and a high standard for their own work
6. Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, use of Google docs, database management, and efficient and professional communication and research via the internet
7. The ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs up and down stairs

Responsibilities
1. Maintain an efficient, effective, and pleasant office environment by cleaning, mailing, filing, copying, keeping an accurate inventory, and ensuring the office is well-stocked by purchasing or soliciting needed items
2. Assist with holiday donation acquisitions and inventory: contact potential and past donors and solicit donations, deliver outreach materials and pick up donations, and track donations
3. Monitor and assist with maintenance of the organization’s internal website
4. Maintain accurate records regarding sites, volunteers, attendance, and residents
5. Assist in the planning and delivery of special events
6. Run errands as needed
7. Assist with development of written procedures manuals for activities, sites, job duties, etc

At the ACLU, law students gain exposure to a broad range of civil liberties and civil rights issues and an opportunity to improve legal writing and research skills. Students work closely with the Legal Director and will conduct legal research, write legal memoranda and draft correspondence to individuals in response to documented complaints of civil liberties and civil rights violations. Students also assist ACLU attorneys in the development of cases for litigation, preparation of cases for trial and submission of amicus curiae briefs in courts of appeal.

About This Position:
The Accountant works with the Executive Director to manage Green Empowerment’s finances and ensure the organization’s smooth and efficient operation.

Tasks:
• Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in QuickBooks on a timely basis.
• Enter and pay invoices/bills in QuickBooks; Ensure adequate fund balances are maintained in different bank accounts.
• Manage payroll.
• Track employees’ time and indirect and admin cost allocation, providing an accurate accounting of GE’s Fundraising and Administrative costs v. programmatic costs.
• Track and update Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate (NICRA) for federal grant.
• Federal grant management ensuring compliance with grant expenditure rules.
• Provide analysis on financial trends of the organization, financial efficacy of fundraising strategies and budgeting projections.
• Prepare useful financial reports for Executive Director, Staff and Board.
• Assist with organization’s annual and project budgeting.
