Volunteer Opportunity: Food Pantry Coordinator
Volunteer Food Pantry Coordinator opening available at William Temple House
William Temple House in NW Portland seeks a Volunteer Food Pantry/Emergency Supply Center Coordinator with a passion for helping others and strong organizational skills.
This position is ideal for a person with inventory management skills and experience working compassionately with individuals and families in need and coordinating the work of a group of volunteers. Familiarity with inventory management is a big plus.
The food pantry is open to clients Tuesday and Wednesday although duties not requiring client contact can be performed on Thursdays. The weekly time commitment is 4 to 6 hours.

THIS Saturday, Feb. 11th, is the launch of Saturday Work Parties at TLC Farm!
These volunteer opportunities will extend through the spring, summer, and fall seasons and are a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, spend a fun day with friends, enjoy the beauty of this 7-acre nook surrounded by the Tryon Creek State Forest, and learn about what's going on here.

Empower Latina Youth! Adelante Chicas Facilitator Assistant
Adelante Chicas, a project of 501(c)(3) nonprofit Adelante Mujeres located in Forest Grove, OR, works to empower Latina youth through non-traditional, bilingual afterschool programming through the local school district.
Adelante Chicas reaches girls ages 8-18 and helps them build personal confidence through academic achievement, leadership opportunities and community involvement.
Plant Trees with SOLVE!
Plant Trees with SOLVE!
Volunteers are needed this Saturday, Feb 11 to plant trees at Phillips
Creek in Milwuakie. It only takes a few hours to help enhance the Phillips
Creek Basin. Over time, this work will improve water quality, create
wildlife habitat, and store carbon to slow climate change. SOLVE will
provide all tools and gloves for this project.

HAYLO, Helping a youth leap forward, is funded by the Portland Children’s
Levy and is a collaboration between three social services agencies. *Lutheran
Community Services NW*, *Catholic Charities – El Programma Hispano*
and *Sponsors
Organized to Assist Refugees* have joined together to create a mentoring
program to serve youth from E. African, Burmese, and Hispanic populations.
Mentors can become a lasting positive influence on these youths just by
being present in their lives and participating and engaging in fun
community activities.
*What we look for in a HAYLO mentor:*
At least 18 years of age.
Agree to a minimum 6- month commitment.
