position summary:

FAIS seeks an enthusiastic individual with excellent organizational abilities to perform administrative duties for the Office of Admissions. FAIS is a small institution with a culturally diverse environment and an energetic staff. The position will report to the Director of Admissions. It is at .75 FTE; some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Essential duties:

• Manage daily office procedures, paperwork, and files to ensure smooth operation

• Represent school to prospective families by phone, email, and in person

• Prepare and mail admissions applications and other documents

• Maintain admissions database, produce reports, ensure integrity of database information

• Conduct all follow-up correspondence

• Events management – plan and execute admissions events on and off campus

• Collaborate with other administrative departments for proper flow of information

• Maintain tour and family meeting schedules, assist with campus tours as necessary

• Coordinate SSAT test activities, assist registrants, maintain registrant list, proctor on test day

• Stay abreast of all admissions policies, forward updates of admissions section of website on a regular basis

• Interact positively with FAIS community, work cooperatively toward FAIS mission

• Assist Director in preparation of advertising materials, follow up communications with vendors

Salary / Pay Rate:22,000 to 24,000
Required Skills and Abilities:Well organized, professional, flexible, energetic, and discreet; excellent computer and, especially, database skills, intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook; excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills; positive, team oriented attitude; ability to multi-task with a variety of deadlines; ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner; fluency in English
Qualifications:Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with Blackbaud’s Education Edge software; intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Publisher; second language and familiarity with other cultures.
