The Five-Year Plan: Portland's New Economic Development Strategy

City Club of Portland Friday Forum

On July 24, Erin Flynn, economic development director for the Portland Development Commission, will explain the city’s five-year plan to grow the economy, create jobs and sustain the quality of life that Portland residents enjoy. She will clarify why it is vital for Portland to maintain – and expand – its position as a leader in the global, green economy. She will also discuss how Portland can maximize the competitive environment for traded-sector companies, drive urban-core innovation and stimulate neighborhood business vitality.

Prior to joining the Portland Development Commission in 2007, Erin Flynn served as Vice President of FutureWorks, a Boston-based policy and strategy consulting firm focused on regional economic development.
