Like to Cook? Volunteer at the Solar Waffle Works!

We are seeking volunteers to serve in the Solar Waffle Works, Portland's first solar powered food cart that is an educational training program in socially responsible business for high school students seeking additional assistance in job training and college prep.

We are especially seeking volunteers to fill shifts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings. There is a possibility of pay in the future, but for now volunteers get to keep tips while we work to pay off our start-up costs and become profitable. The cart is located at 23rd and NE Alberta Street. It'll be fun!

You'll need to either have a Multnomah County Food Handlers card, or get one. The test is free. Some experience and passion for cooking is preferred. To apply, please email [email protected].
