Forest Park Trail & Restoration Coordinator (2 positions)

The Forest Park Conservancy is looking to add two talented individuals to our seasonal field crew. The Trail & Restoration Coordinators will primarily work in the field as part of a five-person crew. The work is physical in nature, and takes place in variable weather conditions, often in remote sections of Forest Park.

Forest Park is a 5,000+ acre natural area park located fully within the city limits of Portland, Oregon. The park features a trail system of 70+ miles and features an impressive array of native flora and fauna.

Among other tasks, primary duties include working to maintain, repair and improve existing trails; removing non-native invasive species; planting native trees and shrubs; and, helping to build community through a wide array of volunteer-driven stewardship projects.The Trail & Restoration Coordinator will also engage in community outreach, helping to recruit volunteers for the Forest Park Conservancy.

These are AmeriCorps LINKS positions. Service dates will run from March 2nd through July 26th. Benefits include a taxable living allowance of $4,526 divided into monthly increments and an education award of $1,800 upon completion of the service term.
