Reed College Non-Profit Expo (Volunteer Recruitment)

Greetings Community Organizations,

Are you interested in finding school-year volunteers for your non-profit organization while at the same time sharing the amazing things you do with interested students and possible summer interns?

Ever year, Career Services and SEEDS (the Community Service Program) at Reed College hold a Non-Profit Expo in order to expose Reed students to organizations in the Portland area.

The fair will be held on Wednesday, October 6 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. While in the past we have focused on summer internships, this year we are focusing on school-year volunteer opportunities, including internships and federal work-study positions. We encourage you to recruit for summer interns if needed, but summer internships are not required to participate. There will be a tabling session to share general information and sign students up who are interested in pursuing opportunities with your program. There is limited space for organizations.

Please email: 1.) A short paragraph describing your organization 2.) The individual’s name, phone and email that you would like listed as a contact 3.) Your website address, if you have one 4.) A short list of volunteer opportunities or internships available with your organization. No internship descriptions are required, but accepted organizations are encouraged to bring volunteer and internship descriptions to the Expo.

For participating organizations, we will use the organization descriptions and contact information (including the website) in a booklet available to students at the Expo and throughout the year.

**We will be accepting proposals until Monday July 12, and you'll hear back from us by Thursday, August 12, 2010.**
