Travel Trainer Liaison

Ride Connection is a private nonprofit that is made up of a network of service partners who work in collaboration with one another to provide vital services that strengthen our region’s current transportation services. We are seeking a Travel Training Liaison to join our RideWise Program.

Outgoing personality, excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, a collaborative approach, flexibility and solid computer skills are required.

The primary responsibility of the RideWise Travel Training Liaison is to encourage the use of public transportation among older adults and people with disabilities by providing a vital link between Transit Mobility Center customers and travel training as well as other individually appropriate transportation options. Assesses potential barriers to independent travel and recommends the most appropriate, least restrictive mode to customers and/or their representatives. This position also coordinates Rider’s Club activities and maintains relationships with sites, agencies, and individuals who provide service to older adults and people with disabilities. The RideWise Travel Training Liaison must also be able to work independently and manage multiple projects assigned by the RideWise Outreach Specialist.
