| position summary: | Please send cover letter and resume to [email protected] The Ocean Project Sensory Immersion (OPSI): a touring dance, science, sculpture exhibit about the ocean is seeking fund-raisers and assistance in project management. Multi-media and interdisciplinary artistic expression is a crucial and powerful medium to activate more people to protect and conserve our ocean biodiversity and health. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdnvqPfoIpQ This video shows one example of interactive public art to raise awareness. OPSI integrates sculptural works, video, and audio into an installation exhibition. Okeanos is a 60 minute dance performance being created in tandem with this touring exhibit. We want to connect our audience emotionally, visually, creatively with the marine inhabitants beneath the water's surface. Our intention is to unite the mission of environmental policy advocates, the discoveries and messages of scientists, with the emotive, sensory language of the arts to inspire greater direct action to restore and care for our endangered wild spaces. Position Summary: 3 month internship -help find funders -organize fund-raising events -assist with project management/deadlines -follow-through with outreach and publicity -weekly meetings/updates to keep momentum |

| Required Skills and Abilities: | -excellent communication skills, verbal and written -able to take instructive leads and integrate new information easily -autonomous self-starter, researcher -works well with a creative team -some strategic planning -good with details -ability to interface with business community |
