position summary:

All Classical FM, Portland’s KQAC 89.9, is seeking a fall intern (unpaid) to assist staff and volunteers with a broad variety of tasks around our fall membership drive. The internship is 5-10 hours per week for 3 months and is available for any current college-level student interested in communications, broadcasting and the business of the arts. Required Skills and Abilities:The most critical traits for the KQAC intern are computer literacy, good communication and writing skills, excellent people and customer service skills, ability to work independently, knowledge of classical music, interest in the medium of radio, and involvement and interest in the cultural community. Intellectual curiosity, reliability, integrity, teachability, consistency and attention to detail are additional desirable traits.
Qualifications:Any current college‐level student is welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will show an area of focus in one of the following areas: • Communication, desired degree path: Radio, Television and Film • Business • Liberal Arts • Fine Arts
Education Required:High School or equiv.
