The Portland Water Bureau’s Resource Protection and Planning Group is hiring an Invasive Species Program Coordinator. The position will be classified as an Environmental Program Coordinator under the City’s classification system. This position is responsible for the development, and implementation of an environmental compliance program in support of the Water Bureau’s programs to protect the Bull Run watershed and Sandy River Basin in accordance with the federal Endangered Species, Clean Water and Safe Drinking Water Acts. The coordinator position requires considerable knowledge of relevant invasive species in Oregon, with a focus on plant species, their habitat impacts, and the techniques for restoring sites. The primary focus areas of work will be the Bull Run watershed and the Sandy River Basin, Oregon. A secondary focus for the position will be to assist with the mitigation and management of invasive species issues for Water Bureau properties within Portland’s city limits. We are looking for organized and energetic applicants with solid abilities for creating a compliance program by working with other people and agencies. Applicants should be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative within general policy guidelines.

Salary / Pay Rate:Approximate Monthly Salary: $4,864 to $6,446
