NOVAA (Northwest Oregon Volunteer Administrators Assoc) monthly meeting, 8/21 - Dynamics of Generations in the Workplace

Please mark your calendars for August 21st at Noon and join us for this month's presentation - Dynamics of Generations in the Workplace - Finding Common Ground with HR consultant Melissa Humes A presentation and discussion regarding the creation of a workplace that appeals to all generations. With an expanded and changing concept of diversity that includes multiple generations and a vast range of background experiences, organizations are more likely to manage, coach and lead people - including volunteers who are different from themselves. Each generation brings its own perceptions, historical influences and values to the workplace. Just as we've come to work with diversity in other respects, our goal is to understand the dynamics of generations impacting the workplace and the ability to use those dynamics to find common ground to successfully communicate, motivate, coach, manage and sustain a productive organization.

Melissa Humes PHR is an HR consultant with Tompkins HR Group, Inc. Melissa brings over 11 years of experience in the non-profit industry. Melissa has worked with clients developing customized solutions such as essential human resources plans, procedures and policies.
