| position summary: | The Oregon Campus Compact VISTA position is to support Oregon Campus Compact VISTA projects in their efforts to support members and build the longterm capacity of communities through their civic engagement initiatives. The VISTA position will: foster communication, collaboration and resource sharing between campus VISTA programs that increase program effectiveness and impact; identify and determine how to meet professional development needs of VISTA program supervisors and VISTA members; coordinate with campuses a process for designing and implementing a statewide VISTA recruitment strategy; provide assistance in other areas related to increasing capacity of the network as needed; and participate in local trainings and other activities and share local promising practices for national replication. | Salary / Pay Rate: | Living allowance distributed bi-weekly |
| Qualifications: | Experience with Campus Compact or national service programs such as VISTA ∙ One year of experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA or AmeriCorps ∙ Excellent written and communication skills ∙ Assetbased approach to change ∙ Experience coordinating working groups with multiple stakeholders ∙ Strong organizational skills, project and multitask management, public speaking, event planning |
