Position: Integrated Treatment Specialist (Mental Health/Chemical Dependency) Supervisor: Glisan Center Director Hours: Full-time Mon – Fri 8 AM – 4:30 PM Salary: $15.00 per hour/$15.39 if bilingual English-Spanish Benefits: Standard benefits package. General Responsibilities

Provide mental health and chemical dependency assessments and therapy for shelter residents and outreach clients. Develop and coordinate resources to help residents and clients to establish stable and self-sufficient lives.

Specific Responsibilities 1. Provide mental health and/or chemical dependency assessments and evaluations for shelter residents and outreach clients. 2. Facilitate or co-facilitate chemical dependency and other support groups. 3. Provide individual therapy for residents and clients as appropriate. 4. Develop mental health/chemical dependency case plans and refer clients to appropriate mental health services in the community. 5. Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services for residents with mental illness and dependency issues. 6. Develop comprehensive knowledge of available resources. Research alternative sources for needed services. 7. Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to assure services availability to clients. 8. Coordinate services with mental health and chemical dependency treatment providers and other providers. 9. Coordinate with agency staff to provide consistent quality and comprehensive range of services to clients. 10. Assist Case Managers with housing placement when appropriate. 11. Attend staff meetings. 12. Maintain accurate and comprehensive files for progress notes, housing history and future placement. Prepare statistical and narrative reports as requested. 13. Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and must be willing to promote a team-oriented environment. 10. Must be able to demonstrate initiative, strive to continually improve processes and relationships.

Minimum Qualifications 1. A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field AND possession of CADC-II or CADC-III is required. Experience working with homeless, chronically mental ill and/or addicted populations is strongly desired. A master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field and specialization/experience with chemically dependent populations may substitute for CADC. 2. Demonstrated ability to interact with other agencies in developing and providing services to clients; including ability to advocate on behalf of clients for services with other agencies. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health issues and appropriate treatment resources. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of chemical dependency issues and appropriate treatment resources. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and resources. 6. Demonstrated knowledge of services available to assist persons who are homeless and/or mentally ill. 7. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in the delivery of services to clients. 8. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive client files. 9. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive statistical and narrative reports. 10. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
