Day of the Dead Procession

Thursday October 30, 7 p.m.Meet at NE 14th Place and Alberta

Inspired by el Día de los Muertos, come join this festive community parade in honor of the beloved dead. Bring candles and photos, and wear skeleton masks or makeup if you like. Dancers, drummers, and performers welcome!

Community Altars October 30, 3-11 p.m.Behind Guardino Gallery, 2939 NE Alberta.  These temporary memorial art installations can be large and elaborate, or small and simple. Bring photos, mementos, flowers, food, etc., and arrange them in a way that's meaningful to you. Acoustic musicians and other performers are welcome to help create an atmosphere of reflection, remembrance, and joyous celebration.

Volunteers Needed!  Parade monitors are needed for the procession, as well as altar artists and templekeepers to prepare the space, create altars, and serve tea.
