JOB OPENING: Computer Technology Student Support (AmeriCorps)

PYB is recruiting for a Computer Technology Student Support AmeriCorps volunteer. Please help us get the word out! 

The Computer Technology Student Support position is a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer position in the PYB Computer Technology (CT) Department. Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting preferred; interest in learning these skills is required. The incumbent must be comfortable managing priorities in fast paced, multi-tasking environment, be willing and able to work through conflict, and manage groups of students.  The Computer Technology Student Support person will work closely with staff and community partners to develop and present comprehensive technology service learning experiences for students.

This position is a key to PYB’s mission of community leadership and service. The work will include developing relationships with local non-profits, agencies, and other organizations and assisting with outreach and recruitment of students for the program.  

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS  

Reports to: Computer Technology ManagerPosition Starts: Immediately upon hire

Length of position: 12 months (must complete 1700 hours of service over 12 months)

Compensation:   AmeriCorps monthly living stipend of $1250, plus AmeriCorps EducationAward of $4750 upon completion of 1700 hours of service. Qualified to enroll in no-cost medical coverage available through AmeriCorps  

REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting preferred; interest in learning theseskills is required

2. GED or High School Diploma

3. Valid Driver’s License + good driving record (for the purposes of insurance coverage)
