Friends of Family Farmers Present: InFarmation (and Beer!)

Winter Eating: Locally and Seasonally

Join Friends of Family Farmers and special guests in a conversation about Oregon food and Oregon farms. Farmer Anthony Boutard from Ayers Farms will speak on his firsthand experiences growing year-round in our state. Resources, recipes, and information on how to eat locally and seasonally during the winter months will be available. This is a great opportunity to network with the community of Oregonians who want to have a say in determining what kind of food system we have while enjoying a great local beer at Hopworks.

Additionally, join us every second Tuesday starting in February as we discuss the connections between farmers and eaters in this state and keep you up-to-date on what is happening with Oregon's food system. Be part of the solution; join the discussion! Free and open to everyone.

When: Wednesday, January 14th, 2009. 5:30-8 Where: Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB), 2944 SE Powell Blvd., Portland 97202 More info: http://www.friendsoffamilyfarmers.org/ or email [email protected]

Agenda: 5:30-6:30 - arrive, eat, meet & greet 6:30-7:30 - speaker and questions 7:30-8:00 - followup discussion Arrive when you can, and leave when you have to...

This event is designed to be very casual and an opportunity to network with fellow Oregonians who think about these things.
