position summary:

We are currently looking for Accounting Specialist to join our billing team in Portland, Oregon. In this position, you would fulfill the following essential functions:
1. Cashiering.
2. Initiate and monitor patient financial agreements; facilitate guarantor set up, authorizations, insurance verifications.
3. Audit client accounts.
4. Maintain professional and ethical behavioral standards of conduct when meeting with clients.
5. Monitor partial funded clients: handle income verifications and authorizations.
6. Oversee accurate and timely collection of active client revenue to include Private-Pay, Medicaid Insurance and Commercial Insurance accounts.
7. Oversee collection process of outstanding accounts receivable from discharged clients.

Salary / Pay Rate:DOE
Qualifications:1. Ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting or Medical Billing or equivalent of five (5) years of experience in Collections and Billing. 2. Must have knowledge of the following: cash handling processes, collections, medical billing, HIPAA guidelines. 3. Must be able to do the following: communicate orally with clients and co-workers in face-to-face, one-on-one setting, group setting and/or using a telephone; produce written documents with clearly organized thought, using proper English sentence construction, punctuation and grammar; demonstrate continuous effort to improve and streamline work processes, decrease turnaround times, work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service; operate personal computer and various office equipment; maintain confidentiality. 4.
