JESUIT VOLUNTEER CORPS (JVC) NORTHWEST, Portland, OR, is hiring a full time Business Assistant (Bus Assist) to begin in mid to late January 2015. The Bus Assist will support the Business Manager and other staff with duties related to the smooth administration of the JVC Northwest office. The Bus Assist will share responsibilities in the areas of reception, bookkeeping, human resources, general office duties and oversee property maintenance.

JVC Northwest is seeking a person with a commitment to the mission and values of JVC Northwest; excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills; ability to meet the public in a friendly and open way and to communicate effectively with diverse peoples; demonstrated ability to work with many details; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience preferred; ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; flexibility with ability to adapt to changing circumstances; and willingness to participate in staff community. Office experience of at least one year is highly desired. Experience coordinating property repairs is helpful.
