DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital is the Pacific Northwest's only non-profit 24-hour Emergency and ICU Animal Hospital. Our hospital is fully equipped and staffed to provide advanced intensive care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DoveLewis provides donor-funded programs to the community, including one of the nation's largest volunteer-based animal blood banks, an animal-assisted therapy program in partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind, a nationally recognized pet loss support program, stabilizing care for lost, stray, wild and/or abused animals and financial assistance for qualifying low-income families.

We are seeking a Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team on a part-time basis. Although shifts may change according to business needs, this position is expected to work up to 24 hours a week which will primarily include week day swing shifts and day shifts over the weekend. The ability to be flexible to work holidays and on-call as needed is vital.

Our CSRs represent the face of DoveLewis and are crucial to establishing excellent first impressions with clients and visitors. In this position, you will guide clients through all aspects of their visit. This includes greeting and assisting clients, providing them with frequent updates on their pets' condition, and conducting a smooth checkout. You will employ professional telephone etiquette to manage our busy multi-line phone and overhead paging system, including answering questions, taking messages, and routing calls as appropriate.

As an emergency hospital, we see a lot of sad, turbulent, and stressful situations. You will assist grieving clients with the loss of their pet by explaining the euthanasia process, memorialization options, and our pet loss support services. To be successful in this position, you must have a passion for comforting clients through such highly emotional and difficult times.

Part-time CSRs are eligible for a veterinary discount, paid sick leave, and discounts off calling plans for two major phone carriers.

Required Qualifications
-Minimum of one year experience working in a fast-paced office, reception, administrative, or customer service capacity (experience with veterinary field highly preferred).
-Knowledge of basic computer functions and operating software such as MS Word and Excel. Experience using veterinary software is a plus!
-Ability to operate multi-line phone system, filing system, imaging program, and office equipment such as copier and fax machine.
-Ability to pay close attention to detail, maintain accuracy, and multi-task in a busy environment while maintaining composure and professionalism at all times.
