Development Associate

In January 2014, Impact NW and the YWCA of Greater Portland combined their Development Departments to realize efficiencies and enhance capacity in service of what matters most: those we serve. Impact NW’s mission is to help people prosper through a community of support and the YWCA of Greater Portland is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. Our next Development Associate will uphold the mission, vision, and values of both organizations. This position requires adherence to all Impact NW and YWCA policies and procedures.

We are currently looking for a Development Associate (full-time) to oversee the development database, report financial data, and supports the development department of Impact NW and the YWCA. The Development Associate will possess strong experience in Blackbaud (The Raiser’s Edge) to oversee the workflow in the database operations and maintain accurate and up to date donor information. This individual will also support with special fundraising events and other direct correspondence/solicitations as needed by the department.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of two years paid experience using Raiser’s Edge or a related donor management software program
• Proficient in all MS Office suite programs
• Experience in Blackbaud (The Raiser’s Edge)
• Experience in online marketing and events management programs (Greater Giving, Event Espresso)
• Event coordination experience preferred
• Experience with Volgistics volunteer management software a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and discretion with confidential information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
