Description: Develop, coordinate, and supervise all facets of Camp Fire’s outcomes-based, school-year programs serving diverse youth and families. Bi-lingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Salary / Pay Rate:This is an exempt, full-time position, and includes Camp Fire Columbia’s full package of salary and benefits, including medical and dental coverage.
Required Skills and Abilities:Essential Functions: • Supervise school-year Program Directors (currently 5) • Conduct site visits to support staff and assess the quality and safety of programs • In concert with Program Directors, develop and maintain relationships with schools and community-based agencies and partners • Ensure that programs meet the needs of youth, schools and the community • Support the cultural competence and responsiveness of program staff through ongoing mentoring, training and resourcing. • Support VP of Finance and VP of Operations in developing departmental budgets; support staff in the development of, and adherence to, program budgets • Support Evaluation staff in evaluating and tracking key outcome measures • Support VP of Operations in providing professional development and training opportunities for departmental staff • Coordinate training for School Year Program staff • Facilitate successful cross-departmental relationship with Communications Department to ensure effective marketing materials are developed for all school-year programs • Facilitate cross-departmental relationship with the Development Department to ensure successful grant writing/reporting, along with successful events that involve or benefit programs or program staff • Ensure that programs are meeting goals and objectives and that they align with Strategic Plan. • Ensure program adherence to risk management procedures • Support the mission, purpose and leadership of Camp Fire; project a positive image of Camp Fire • Support the VP of Operations in ensuring the safety and quality of all Camp Fire school-year programs • Develop and monitor program budgets • Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision for all Program Directors and Managers, indirect support for Volunteer Leaders and site-based staff
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in related field • 5+ years experience with youth programs • Knowledge Youth Development field; specific knowledge of mentoring, service-learning, leadership, life-skills development, and outcomes evaluation • 4+ years supervisory experience • Knowledge of the Portland community • Experience working with culturally diverse youth and families Send cover letter, résumé and list of 3 professional references to: [email protected] Cover letter must include salary requirements.
