Eco-Justice and Care for Creation in a Toxic World

Central Lutheran Church presents:

Eco-Justice and Care for Creation in a Toxic World

Thursday, June 30 | 7:00 PM | Free

Presenter:

Chloe Schwabe, Environmental Health Program Manager

National Council of Churches, Washington, DC

We are called to be stewards of God's Creation and our bodies. Yet everyday
we encounter unregulated, toxic chemicals in the air we breathe, food we
eat, water we drink, and the products we use in our homes, churches, and on
our bodies. Some chemicals are strongly linked to prevalent health
conditions, especially among vulnerable community members, such as children.

Join Chloe Schwabe, a native Oregonian and environmental health program
manager from the National Council of Churches for a hands-on workshop to
learn about toxic chemicals in everyday products and how to make or identify
simple, affordable solutions to avoid chemicals of concern. Learn why this
is an issue of faith and what you can do to improve the health of all
Creation in Oregon, across the nation and the world.
