position summary: | NTEN seeks an Educational Program Manager, a person passionate about helping nonprofits learn to use technology to further their missions and causes. This position will be critical to adding a higher level of quality and evaluation to NTEN’s various educational offerings. Reporting to NTEN’s Program Director, the Educational Program Manger will be an integral part of the Program team but also working with staff across the organization. The key goals for this position will be educating and supporting nonprofit staff to gain the necessary skills to integrate technology into their work as well as working closely with presenters to ensure quality offerings. The position is full-time with benefits. Aligned with these goals, the Educational Program Manager must accomplish the following: Program Development & Planning * Plan, implement, and evaluate NTEN's online educational programming in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Presenter Training & Evaluation * Coordinate with NTEN presenters throughout the webinar lifecycle from defining learning objectives to evaluation. Certification Program Development for Nonprofit Technology Leaders * Research existing certification models. Program Management * Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the online educational program to maintain or improve quality. Financial Management & Planning * In coordination with Program Director, ensure that the online educational program plan meets revenue from approved budget. Qualifications: | * 5+ years related work experience, preferably 1-2 years in the nonprofit sector * Bachelor's Degree / Master’s Degree / Equivalent Experience in a training or education-related position * Knowledge of adult learning theory and educational curriculum development * Ability to research and apply new learning and delivery methods to NTEN’s educational programs, including certification models * Demonstrated experience in using technology in an educational setting * Proven effectiveness at group/team leadership and project management * Ability to work in a close team environment with others * Strong communication skills with proficiency in developing written communications and the development and delivery of oral presentations * Volunteer management experience desired |
