Position Description. Volunteers of America Oregon's Community Partners Reinvestment Program (CPR) is seeking a full-time Master’s-level Counselor III. The CPR Program provides reentry services to young adults who are transitioning back into the community after serving time in a correctional facility. The Counselor III responsibilities include providing services inside and outside of prisons, working with the clinical team to conduct mental health screening, risk/needs alcohol and drug assessments, and facilitating program curriculum and individual sessions.

Salary / Pay Rate:$37,440 - $41,600 ($18-20/hour) + benefits
Qualifications:This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field with (or working towards) a CADC I or a Bachelors degree in a relevant field with CADC II. The Counselor III must have three years experience in addictions and/or mental health counseling and knowledge and experience with issues related to criminal behavior and family systems, adolescent developmental issues, dual diagnosis and drug and alcohol issues. This position also requires an insured vehicle and the ability to drive to correctional facilities on a weekly basis. If in recovery, the Counselor III must have two years of continuous sobriety. This position also requires travel within the Portland and Salem area, so the applicant must have reliable transportation and a current, valid Drivers’ License.
