Gorge Owned (GO!) is a Hood River-based 501(c)3 nonprofit serving residents, businesses, nonprofits and government agencies throughout the 5-county region of the Columbia Gorge through programs designed to help to make the Gorge healthier and more sustainable. GO! works towards its mission by offering educational opportunities and resources related to local economy building, alternative transportation, waste reduction, energy efficiency, green building, sustainable practices for home and business and by creating meaningful community connections to make the Gorge an even better place to work, live and play.
GO!’s programs include the Gorge Sense of Place Lecture Series, Gorge Green Drinks, the Gorge Green Home Tour, GO! Local Campaign, Community Pride, GO! Spaces and more. We host films, educational workshops and community forums to raise awareness about the impacts of individuals’ and businesses’ purchasing decisions, behaviors and practices. GO! also works with partners like Solar Oregon and Clean Energy Works to bring energy efficiency programs to the Gorge.
