position summary:

Summary: Provides assistance to the Executive Director including implementing mission-critical activities related to communications and publications, meeting and special events logistics, office management and record-keeping.

Non-expempt, part-time 16 hrs week; flex schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Communications
Generates internal and external publications, particularly e-news, Face Book and Twitter formats;
Monitors and administers website, updating pages, pictures, stories;
Manages pseudo email address (admin@, etc) and directs inquiries to staff or board;

Administrative and Operations Support
Manages office systems and maintenance and purchases supplies, goods and equipment;
Provides general admin support (answer phones, make copies, etc.);
Manages organizational data bases, list serves, and IT support;
Maintains physical and electronic file systems for grants, contracts, invoices, reports, etc.;
Provides logistical support for meetings and special events, including registrations;
Keeps office space organized and free of clutter;

Financial
Oversees online giving including reporting for bookkeeping;
Processes incoming mail/email from vendors and customers; prepares AP and AR for Associate Director’s approval;
Researches / follows up on invoices and income as requested;

Salary / Pay Rate:$14-$17 per hour

Qualifications:Commitment to the mission of the Network. Demonstrated experience responding to organizational needs, processing ideas and implementing changes; easily develops coping strategies for minimizing negative impacts of change; Minimum of 3 years experience in electronic communication venues including web-based email marketing solutions (i.e., constant contact), website administration, and HTML; Demonstrated analytical, written and verbal communication, collaborative project management and organizational skills; Prefer Bachelor Degree or degree candidate; Have upbeat, creative, and professional demeanor; Demonstrate an excellent work ethic.
Education Required:High School or equiv.
