position summary:

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is seeking a temporary Outreach Instructor who will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of engaging science education programs in schools and community sites to people of all ages. Candidate must have strong interpersonal communication skills relating to children and adults, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of and enthusiasm for informal science education. Thorough knowledge of general science is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of one year experience teaching in a classroom or informal setting, valid driver’s license, and pass pre-employment and/or pre-duty checks, such as criminal background check, reference checks, requirements in the MVR Policy including passing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and Alcohol & Drug Test for either non-CDL or CDL Drivers Policy, including pre-duty drug test. A Bachelor’s degree in education or science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Pay: $11.51 - $14.10 per hour.
