Mission
Portland Open Studios creates a unique educational opportunity for the public to witness art in the making, learn about media and materials, and the business of creative endeavor. Through this interaction, Portland Open Studios creates a platform for local artists to thrive, to engage and to foster a community that values the arts.

Every year during the second and third weekends of October, Portland Open Studios opens the doors on at least 100 metro-area private artists' workspaces, giving the public a chance to peek behind the curtain and experience how and where art is made.
