United Way Position Opening: Digital and Content Marketing Manager
Digital and Content Marketing Manager (Full-time, Exempt)
United Way is seeking a Digital and Content Marketing Manager to advance United Way's mission of breaking the cycle of childhood poverty in our region by elevating the organization's digital/new media presence, and engaging all communities within our region, including those serving our culturally-specific populations, through outstanding storytelling and digital engagement. Responsible for developing and executing an editorial and new/digital media engagement strategy for UWCW, including planning and executing a new media editorial program to drive awareness of United Way through the website, social media channels, mobile, apps, eNewsletters, and other mediums; analyzing analytics to measure engagement; and driving donations/engagement through unique and creative stories and cause marketing campaigns.
Preferred experience includes: 4-5 years in PR/marketing, nonprofit preferred; 2-3 years managing web content and new media strategies for a business/organization, nonprofit preferred; utilizing web/social media analytics tools; writing content for marketing purposes, nonprofit preferred. Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Or a comparable combination of experience and education. Training and experience in writing marketing content. Candidate needs to have a "nose" for the story, i.e., ability to uncover relevant stories that advance the United Way brand, and the ability to package the stories using written content, images, video, and/or audio to effectively engage varying communities.
