Seeking chair donations for VOZ Day Labor Center

VOZ Workers’ Education Project is seeking donations of chairs for the Day Labor Center. Durable, outdoor-friendly, and/or folding chairs are needed; however we’d be happy to have others as well!

The Day Labor Center provides more secure and humane alternatives for day laborers to find jobs in a safe and professional environment. The Center is located at 240 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, between NE Davis and Everett.

Also—Please join us for our hire site work day!

On December 7th, VOZ will be hosting an event at the Day Labor Center with the goal of making it a bit more workable and beautiful. We will be working on projects to make the space more inviting and practical—something our community can be proud of!

Volunteering

Help others, have fun, and work off some of those Thanksgiving calories!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to think about all that you are thankful for. It's also a great time to give back to the community and help those in need!

The Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center serves more than 30,000 low income and uninsured patients each year offering primary care, vision, dental and mental health services through 4 health clinics, 3 dental clinics, a school-based health center and a mobile health van.

Our Beaverton Clinic is in need of some sprucing up and could use YOUR HELP!

We are looking for 12 volunteers to help us shampoo the carpets at the Beaverton Clinic on November 28 from 8:30am-12:30pm. We will provide rug doctors, shampoo and goodies. What a great way to work off some Thanksgiving calories!
