Ecotrust Event Spaces offers affordable meeting space this winter

As the chilly weather beckons us to gather indoors and enjoy the company of one another, we invite you to meet with us. In appreciation of the important work being done by local nonprofits, we're happy to extend a special room rental rate of $50 per hour during December and January. Please call for additional information and to make your reservation. To learn more about Ecotrust Event Spaces visit us online at http://www.ecotrust.org/events.

Ready to Rent Instructor Training Registration Deadline Approaching - Space Still Available

Give your clients the gift of access to housing through education...teach them to overcome typical rental screening barriers with Ready To Rent! The next Certified Instructor Training will be held December 16-18.

The Ready to Rent curriculum provides housing readiness skills to people who have had past rental difficulties, have participants establish an action plan for becoming a successful renter and, upon completion, receive a Ready to Rent Certificate which is recognized by many housing providers and landlords as a compensating factor to some negative rental history.

Volunteering

Call for donations of greeting cards

Greetings!

Greeting cards, that is.  A group of Portland residents is preparing to send greeting cards to soldiers who are far from their homes and families.  We are looking for donations of greeting cards from our neighbors; are you awash in a sea of cards you no longer have any use for? Denomination does not matter, but we are especially hoping to have a good supply of "Happy Holiday" and "Happy New Year" cards.  Can you help us build our stock?

Please respond to [email protected] for pickup.

Thank you for your kindness and thoughts this winter season!

Give the valuable gift of YOUR TIME this holiday season for reproductive rights in Oregon

Is your calendar already filling up fast with holiday parties, family obligations, and caroling practice?  Can you fit in a few hours one evening for your friends over at NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon? Yes? Great! We would love to have you join us for some end of the year fundraising phone calls.

If the thought of phone banking turns you into a scrooge, don’t let it - this is going to be fun! We’ll have holiday bingo with fun prizes to re-gift to your family and enough warm and fuzzy feelings of securing reproductive rights to get you back on Santa’s Nice list. Giving just one 3 hour shift would really light up our holiday season (2 shifts gets you a complimentary membership).
