Dear Change Agent,
We all know you have been working hard trying to make change locally, globally, or socially. Everyone knows you work hard but you sometimes feel like people don’t notice the work you have been doing. WELL WE HAVE! We know how hard you work and want to honor those experiences and the hope you bring society.

Miracle Theatre Group is pleased to extend an invitation to you and yours to join us for “Posada Milagro” — a Spanish-language Christmas celebration with theatre, music and dance for the whole family — Sunday, December 14th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at El Centro Milagro (525 SE Stark St., Portland).
This community celebration filled with Latin American traditions reflects upon the journey of Mary and Joseph in their search for refuge and is a day of fun for the whole family! Admission is free, though we are happy to accept donations of non-perishable food items for the Oregon Food Bank.

Naturally Beautiful Backyards Volunteer Training begins January 22nd in Vancouver
The Naturally Beautiful Backyards Program at Columbia Springs will begin its 2009 volunteer training on January 22nd in Vancouver. Volunteers will learn about Earth-friendly gardening and landscaping techniques and share that knowledge with the people of Clark County, WA at community events over the course of the year.
Volunteer training topics include: organic vegetable gardening, use of native plants, healthy soil preparation and maintenance, composting, attracting beneficial species, chemical-free pest control, water conservation techniques, Earth-friendly lawn care, and more!
