Join Living Earth on Friday, May 2 to connect with community and celebrate Pete Seeger’s 89th birthday! A recent documentary about Pete has introduced him to a new generation, and there’s a move on to nominate him for a Nobel Peace Prize. Come share a great meal and listen and reminisce and sing—and feel free to bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle, comb, or whatever to add to the music.

All Born "In" Inclusion Conference : April 26 at Portland State University

The third annual All Born "In" Conference will take place on April 26 at Portland State University. The Northwest Down Syndrome Association (NWDSA) in conjunction with PSU and several other partners will present a parent-driven, cross disability inclusion conference that will provide tools, networking, and inspiration for parents and professionals committed to inclusive education opportunities for children with disabilities from birth to age 21.

The Second Annual Pinot Pedal 2008 Bike Ride

Pertinent Details: Sunday, April 27, 2008 10:00AM-6:00 PM Urban Wineworks 407 NW 16th Ave. Portland, OR 97209

Bishop Creek and Urban Wineworks are kicking off the official fundraiser for projects like the NW Flanders Bridge Project. The event will start with a leisurely 16 or 27 mile bicycle ride organized by Shift and Umbrella which will spin through North Portland. The ride will journey along low-traffic roads in order to promote bicycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. After the ride is complete, riders and non-riders alike will convene at Urban Wineworks, to celebrate in style with wine, food and music. Registration proceeds and a percentage of Bishop Creek Cellars' sales will benefit bicycle and pedestrian-friendly projects in the Portland area.

Primary Counselor – Women’s Program

De Paul Treatment Centers serves the greater Portland community by providing drug and alcohol addiction treatment services. We currently have a full-time opening for a Primary Counselor in our Adult Residential Facility. Counselor position provides professional treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Candidates must be familiar with strength based counseling and have knowledge of dual diagnosis, SOC and MI. MA degree preferred. Bicultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

All positions at De Paul require 2+ years’ continuous sobriety, if recovering.

Job Post: Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

The Estuary Partnership seeks an experienced full time Administrative Assistant. Position requires a minimum of two years of experience performing administrative and secretarial duties and bookkeeping in support of public or private organization. General office qualifying experience would involve record keeping, meeting preparation, minute taking, managing office supplies, and developing correspondence and related work products for executive staff. Qualifying experience for bookkeeping duties would include managing accounts payable and accounts receivable and basic finance reports and working with annual budgets comprised of multiple funding sources in public and non-profit sector. Degree or training in office administration or secretarial functions desirable.
